Artificially-Induced Earthquakes: Natural or Man-Made? By Jason Jeffrey

Two devastating earth-quakes in the month of September 1999 again focused the world's attention on one of nature's most terrifying and destructive forces. Earthquakes in Turkey and Taiwan took the lives of thousands and left even more people homeless and in fear of returning to their devastated communities.

The death and devastation caused by major earthquakes around the world can only worsen in years to come, as growing urban development and unprecedented population growth compound the lethal effects of natural and, as some researchers claim, man-made seismic hazards. With the world's population estimated to pass the 6 billion mark this year, there are fewer unpopulated places for quakes to strike. And with ever more people to accommodate, there is more multistoried construction in vulnerable fault zones. As a result, destructive earthquakes "are the wave of the future," seismic expert Kerry Sieh of the California Institute of Technology says. "There are 40 cities of a million or more people within 100 kilometres of a major plate boundary, and all those are good candidates for a large event."1

What Are Earthquakes?

Natural earthquakes are caused by the movement of tectonic plates over the Earth's mantle. Sandwiched between Earth's crust and molten outer core, the vast mantle accounts for 83 percent of the planet's volume. It is filled with solid rock but, heated by the core and by its own radioactive decay, it circulates like a pot of impenetrable soup. That circulation is the driving force behind the surface motion of tectonic plates, which builds mountains and causes earthquakes.

The destructive power of an earthquake comes from the momentum gathered when two opposing "faults" or tectonic plates, that may have been locked together for decades, suddenly move apart. The result is that solid rock which normally moves only with the passing of geological ages accelerates briefly to 5,000mph, unleashing huge quantities of energy and creating a shaking movement of up to a metre a second.

Most people consider earthquakes to be natural in origin, but what if there was such a thing as man-made earthquakes? Well, there are. There is the official version of what constitutes a man-made earthquake, and then there is a body of suppressed research pointing to a more insidious agenda.

Artificially-Induced Earthquakes

Officially, there is such an area of research devoted to man-made earthquakes. Geologists and seismologists agree that humans can induce earthquakes in five major ways: fluid injection into the Earth, fluid extraction from the Earth, mining or quarrying, nuclear testing and through the construction of dams and reservoirs. In fact, there are officially recorded instances of earthquakes caused by human activity.

Geologists discovered that disposal of waste fluids by means of injecting them deep into the earth could trigger earthquakes after a series of earthquakes in the Denver area occurred from 1962-1965; the periods and amounts of injected waste coincided with the frequency and magnitude of earthquakes in the Denver area. The earthquakes were triggered because the liquid, which was injected under very high pressure, released stored strain energy in the rocks.2

Man-made earthquakes may seem like something out of the X-Files, and it's probably only a matter of time before the idea is picked up by Hollywood. This year, best-selling thriller author Ken Follett released his latest book, Hammer of Eden, about a terrorist group threatening to level San Francisco with a man-made earthquake. When asked by Salon Magazine how real is the idea of a man-made earthquake, Follett replied that "Some of the seismologists told me, 'There's no way this could happen.' But others gave sad little shrugs and said, 'It's hard to say. Who knows? Maybe. It's within the realm of possibly.'"

Suppressed Research: Tesla Technologies

Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Nicola Tesla is one of this century's greatest scientists. A prodigious inventor of electronic devices and pioneer of free energy, Tesla never gained the recognition he deserved because his scientific breakthroughs were deemed to 'sensitive' by the ruling corporate and government powers of the day. Thus much of his research was suppressed and stolen.

In a book entitled Tesla - The Lost Inventions, a section is titled "Man-Made Earthquake". It discloses Tesla's fascination with the power of resonance and he experimented with it not only electrically but on the mechanical plane as well. In his Manhattan, USA lab, Tesla built mechanical vibrators and tested their powers. One experiment got out of hand.

Tesla attached a powerful little vibrator driven by compressed air to a steel pillar. Leaving it there, he went about his business. Meanwhile, down the street, a violent quaking built up, shaking down plaster, bursting plumbing, cracking windows, and breaking heavy machinery off its anchorages.

Tesla's vibrator had found the resonant frequency of a deep sandy layer of subsoil beneath his building, setting off a small earthquake. Soon Tesla's own building began to quake. It is reported that just as the police broke into his lab, Tesla was seen smashing the device with a sledge hammer, the only way he could promptly stop it.

In a similar experiment, on an evening walk through the city, Tesla attached a battery powered vibrator, described as being the size of an alarm clock, to the steel framework of a building under construction. He adjusted it to a suitable frequency and set the structure into resonant vibration. The structure shook, and so did the earth under his feet. Tesla later boasted he could shake down the Empire State Building with such a device. If this claim was not extravagant enough, he went on to say a large-scale resonant vibration was capable of splitting the earth in half.

An article from the 11 July, 1935 issue of the New York American entitled 'Tesla's Controlled Earthquakes', stated Tesla's "experiments in transmitting mechanical vibrations through the earth - called by him 'the art of telegeodynamics' - were roughly described by the scientists as a sort of controlled earthquake."

The article quotes Tesla as stating:

The rhythmical vibrations pass through the earth with almost no loss of energy. It becomes possible to convey mechanical effects to the greatest terrestrial distances and produce all kinds of unique effects. The invention could be used with destructive effect in war.

Mysterious Lights

Several UFO researchers speculate many UFO sightings might actually be "earthquake lights" caused by 'piezoelectric' phenomena. Piezoelectricity is believed to be caused by crystals found in certain rocks giving off a flow of electricity when subjected to high pressure, as in an earthquake. Lights leaping away from mountain peaks have been seen and recorded since ancient times. Reports coming out of Turkey during the recent 17 August earthquake mention mysterious lights over the west of the country. The following intriguing eyewitness report was forwarded to Mutual UFO Network Eastern USA from Turkey:

They are incredibly clear, circular or triangular in shape, white, yellow, red and blue coloured, remain visible in the sky for 5 to 20 minutes, following a materialising-dematerialising pattern. The funny thing is it became a routine thing as they have been showing up two or three times a week. They became an inevitable component of the TV news and media. Furthermore, just before the quake, the bottom of the sea in Izmit went red and the sea temperature went up to 40-45 degrees C. However, there are no underwater volcanoes in the Sea of Marmara! Starting two days before the quake, hundreds of fish, crabs and other sea life forms died and not naturally! Somehow, they were burned! The fish nets of the fishermen were burned and we have several rock and stone samples from the sea, which went black in colour. TUVPO (Turkish UFO and Paranormal Organisation) is cooperating with the Smithsonian Institute and a few universities in the US. We already sent them some rock and burned fishnet samples, upon their request. Folks at TUVPO will hopefully run a spectrum analysis on the video tapes. Some fishermen are also saying that they witnessed an explosion under the sea. Fireballs, strange lights, sightings never ended in Turkey.3

Compare this information with what happened in the destructive 1977 earthquake that hit China. The 5 June, 1977 New York Times described the great earthquake which destroyed Tangshan, China on July 28, 1976, killing over 650,000 people:

Just before the first tremor at 3:42 am, the sky lit up like daylight. The multi-hued lights, mainly white and red, were seen up to 200 miles away. Leaves on many trees were burned to a crisp and growing vegetables were scorched on one side, as if by a fireball.

Tesla Effect

Some investigators believe these electrical effects were associated with electromagnetic plasma and ball lightning and the strange array of flashes that result from Tesla-style technology. Was this brilliant flash of coloured light what Tesla talked about in 1935 when he mentioned "all kinds of unique effects"? Was this earthquake an early test of the system, conducted on the unsuspecting people of China? It certainly does not appear it was a natural earthquake. Was the same technology tried out on Turkey?

Andrija Puharich, MD, LL.D. in January 1978, issued a detailed research paper titled, "Global Magnetic Warfare - A Layman's View of Certain Artificially Induced Unusual Effects on the Planet Earth During 1976 and 1977". He was primarily looking into Soviet experiments with Tesla technology and believed controlled earthquakes were part and parcel of that work. Of them he wrote: "Of the many great earthquakes of 1976, there is one that demands special attention - the July 28, 1976 Tangshan, China earthquake."

The January 1978 edition of Specula magazine ran an article describing an incredibly profound phenomenon that could be produced within the Earth by what is called the 'Tesla Effect.' According to the article, electromagnetic signals of certain frequencies can be transmitted through the Earth to form standing waves in the Earth itself. In certain cases, coherence to this standing wave can be induced wherein a fraction of the vast, surging electromagnetic current of the Earth itself feeds into and augments the induced standing wave. In other words, "much more energy is now present in the standing wave than the ...amount being fed in from the Earth's surface." By interferometer techniques, giant standing waves can be combined to produce a focused beam of very great energy. This can then be used to produce earthquakes induced at distant aiming points.

Tesla expressed grave concerns about the effects of this technology because it is exactly the type of thing that could easily get out of control once it begins vibrating within the Earth - and it could actually cause the Earth to vibrate to pieces. Could the use of this technique have been responsible for the great earthquake in Tangshan, China in 1976?

Another leading Tesla researcher and nuclear engineer, Lt. Col. Thomas Bearden, lecturing at a Symposium of the US Psychotronics Association (USPA) in 1981 stated:

Tesla found that he could set up standing waves. in the earth (the molten core), or, just set it up through the rocks - the telluric activity in the rocks would furnish activity into these waves and one would get more potential energy in those waves than he put in. He called the concept the Tesla Magnifying Transmitter (TMT).

Bearden goes on to explain how TMTs worked:

They will go through anything. What you do is that you set up a standing wave through the earth and the molten core of the earth begins to feed that wave (we are talking Tesla now). When you have that standing wave, you have set up a triode. What you've done is that the molten core of the earth is feeding the energy and it's like your signal - that you are putting in - is gating the grid of a triode. Then what you do is that you change the frequency. If you change the frequency one way (start to dephase it), you dump the energy up in the atmosphere beyond the point on the other side of the earth that you focused upon. You start ionising the air, you can change the weather flow patterns (jet streams etc) - you can change all that - if you dump it gradually, real gradually - you influence the heck out of the weather. It's a great weather machine. If you dump it sharply, you don't get little ionisation like that. You will get flashes and fireballs (plasma) that will come down on the surfaces of the earth. you can cause enormous weatherchanges over entire regions by playing that thing back and forth.

HAARP: The Pentagon's Ultimate Weapon

In an Arctic compound 450 kilometres east of Anchorage, Alaska, the Pentagon has erected a powerful transmitter designed to beam more than a gigawatt of energy into the upper reaches of the atmosphere. Known as Project HAARP (High- frequency Active Auroral Research Program), the $30 million experiment involves the world's largest "ionospheric heater," a prototype device designed to zap the skies hundreds of kilometres above the earth with high-frequency radio waves.

Why irradiate the charged particles of the ionosphere (which when energised by natural processes make up the lovely and famous phenomenon known as the Northern Lights)? According to the US Navy and Air Force, co-sponsors of the project, "to observe the complex natural variations of Alaska's ionosphere." As well, admit the Pentagon, to develop new forms of communications and surveillance technologies to enable the military to send signals to nuclear submarines and to peer deep underground.

Ever since the existence of HAARP became public, a number of independent researchers have warned the operation has a secret agenda including weather modification, mind control, hi-tech military experiments, and the triggering of earthquakes. Alarmingly, HAARP technology appears well suited to enforce a host of the oppressive goals and agendas of the New World Order.

HAARP transmissions may also be used for the detection and monitoring of electromagnetic or "plasma" phenomena, precursors of seismic activity and tectonic movement. Researchers believe HAARP transmissions are actually being used to activate or trigger exactly the same electromagnetic conditions that can cause tectonic movement.

Jerry Smith in his book HAARP: The Ultimate Weapon of the Conspiracy, warns many atmospheric scientists working on the secretive military project might be unaware of HAARP's grave potential to wreak havoc on the earth. He writes:

If HAARP is a TMT [Tesla Magnifying Transmitter], and these researchers correctly understand Tesla's work, we could be in a lot of trouble. It is quite possible that the scientists working on HAARP do not know that they are playing with. Beyond that their ignorance might be compounded if HAARP is indeed a secretive black-ops military project. The military has devised a way of keeping secrets called'compartmentalisation' where each unit knows only what it needs to know. Only the control group knows what's going on. If there is a control group familiar with TMTs directing the actions of scientists unschooled in Tesla technology, those lower level operatives could be directed to wreak havoc with created weather or manufactured earthquakes..

Vast Amounts of Energy

In 1966, Professor Gordon J. F. MacDonald was associate director of the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles, a member of the US President's Science Advisory Committee, and later a member of the US President's Council on Environmental Quality.

He published papers on the use of environmental -control technologies for military purposes. MacDonald made a revealing comment: "The key to geophysical warfare is the identification of environmental instabilities to which the addition of a small amount of energy would release vastly greater amounts of energy. "

World-renowned scientist MacDonald developed ideas for using the environment as a weapon system and he contributed to what was, at the time, only in the wildest dream of a futurist. When he wrote his chapter, "How To Wreck The Environment," for the book Unless Peace Comes, he was not kidding around. In it he describes the use of weather manipulation,climate modification, polar ice cap melting or destabilisation, ozone depletion techniques, earthquake engineering, ocean wave control and brain wave manipulation using the planet's energy fields.

He speculated these types of weapons would be developed and, when used, would be virtually undetectable by their victims. Is HAARP one such weapon?

Cohen's Admission

In 1997 the US Secretary of Defense, William Cohen, delivered a speech on terrorism at the University of Georgia. Reuters quoted him as saying, "Precautions against unconventional arms must be intensified as potential terrorists develop chemical and biological weapons and electromagnetic methods that could create holes in the ozone layer or trigger earthquakes or volcanoes."

Cohen's admission reveals he has direct knowledge of such potential weapons. But it's hard to conceive of "terrorists developing the capacity to "trigger earthquakes". Hardly, when one considers the Pentagon's HAARP project. A more likely explanation is that Cohen was warning against allowing such technology to spread to other countries.

Outback Mystery

The weapons used in World War III will make the atomic and hydrogen bombs look like toys. At present, the centerpiece of the Russian arsenal is called the star-reflector cannon. The United States has the Strategic Defense Initiative, and the extension of this is 'microplasma.' - Shoko Asahara, 19 April, 1993, leader of Aum Shinrikyo

A mysterious incident in the outback of Western Australia, reported in New Dawn No. 41 (March-April 1997), directly relates to the subject of man-made earthquakes.

Late on the evening of May 28, 1993, something radiated shock waves outward across hundreds of miles of scrub and desert. Around the same time, truck drivers crossing the region and gold prospectors camping nearby saw the dark sky illuminated by bright flashes, and they as well as other people heard the distant rumble of loud explosions.

The mysterious event might have been lost to history except for the interest of investigators in Australia and the United States, who eventually came to speculate if the upheaval was the work of the Japanese Aum Shinrikyo group accused of the poison-gas attack on Tokyo subways in 1995. At the time Aum had set up an advanced laboratory on a 500,000-acre property near the puzzling upheaval. The disturbance shook the earth on May 28, 1993, but it was not until after the Tokyo attack of March 1995, that an Australian geologist, Harry Mason, brought the seismic upset to the attention of Australian Federal Police and later to US investigators.

Seismic observatories in Australia tracked the event to a location 28.47 degrees south latitude, 121.73 degrees east longitude, a remote area near the group's property.

Mason's 19-page report summarised interviews he had conducted with people who were in the remote area on that clear moonless night. They saw the sky ablaze, heard loud explosions and felt the ground shake, in one case knocking beer cans off a table. Mason noted that earthquakes were very rare in the region and that mining explosions were illegal at night.

Mason now believes the explosion was caused by "a very advanced electromagnetic weapons system." He also thinks that the red dome witnessed on the night of 28 May, 1993 was a Tesla Shield, a device that theoretically can disable nuclear weapons.

Eventually, the US-based Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) calculated the event was 170 times bigger than the largest mining explosion ever recorded in the Australian region, thus ruling out that possibility. The disturbance was calculated as having the force of a small nuclear explosion, perhaps equal to up to 2,000 tons of high explosives. But the signature of the disturbance seemed to be more that of an earthquake than a nuclear explosion.

No mention of the seismic riddle was made in well-publicised hearings the US Senator Nunn ran in late 1995 on Aum Shinrikyo. On 15 December, 1995, Nunn wrote to IRIS, stating that their scientific work helped Senate investigators "rule out certain terrorist activities."

Still, one remote possibility remained. Aum Shinrikyo had apparently studied seismic warfare and the means of artificially triggering earthquakes.

The group apparently sent a party of its own top scientists to the former Yugoslavia to study the work of Nicola Tesla. At the Tesla Museum in Belgrade, the members reviewed Tesla's thesis and other research papers discussing such weapons.

In New Dawn No. 39, a report on the work of Aum Shinrikyo's Science and Technology Minister, Hideo Murai, revealed that the group was interested in advanced weapons, including "laser-powered seismic weapons." On 7 April, 1995 Murai responded in a press conference to a question about a rumoured 'earthquake machine'. He remarked there was a strong possibility the Kobe earthquake was activated using "electromagnetic power," or that somebody used a device that "applied force inside the earth."

Shortly after this press conference, a lone assassin stabbed Hideo Murai to death in full view of the Japanese media. Was Murai murdered to silence him? He was one of Aum's most visible figures with fluent English and a pleasant demeanour that made him an international spokesman.

An Aum Shinrikyo book, Disaster Approaches the Land of the Rising Sun, devotes considerable space on how to guard against radiation, electromagnetic pulses, biological and chemical weapons, as well as more exotic laser, microwave and plasma weaponry.

It can be assumed the Aum Shinrikyo group actively researched and even possibly tested advanced weapons from a defensive point of view. Aum leaders were convinced the United States had already used such weapons against their personnel and property, and this may have driven the group's leaders into a paranoid frame of mind. Future War Often we are told technological research in the military field is ten or more years ahead of what we see today.

Frightening and controversial projects like HAARP, with applications ranging from superbeam weapon to worldwide mind control, should be of great concern to us all. And most worrying is mounting evidence that the US military now has the ability to create earthquakes - the ultimate weapon of war.

Could the recent earthquakes in Turkey, Tiawan, Greece and Mexico be experimental test runs? If so, how many more earthquakes will it take before this technology can be directed at a chosen 'enemy'? It's a disturbing thought and one we all should consider as the forces of the New World Order gather pace in their quest for global control.

Not So Surprising Nuke-Earthquake News

On the morning of October 10, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation aired this piece. I obtained a copy of it from the ever-vigilant Dr. Gary Whiteford.

Anchorwoman: "A Moscow newspaper reports that Russian scientists tried to harness earthquakes as a means of mass destruction, and the research continued under the new Russian government long after the Soviet Union collapsed."

Correspondent Mike Hornbrook: "The Moscow News called it 'Earthquakes Made To Order.' In a detailed article, the newspaper says research of the so-called tectonic weapons began under the Communists in the 1970s. By late 1987, the Soviet government ordered a major effort to develop such a weapon.

"It was code-named Project Mercury and Project Vulcan, and involved almost two dozen major scientific and manufacturing centers.

"The theory was that underground nuclear explosions could trigger earthquakes far from the site of the original blast. Researchers speculated the destructive force released would be many times greater than the nuclear blast, that it could be directed toward any point on earth and that there was no way to guard against it.

"According to the Moscow News, everyone involved with the project had the highest security clearance. The first underground nuclear test was carried out six years ago, possibly followed by two more blasts as the pace of research picked up.

"The newspaper says Boris Yeltsin's government continued the work until two or three years ago. At that time a crisis in the Russian economy put everything on hold. However, the Moscow News says that Russia's strategic military doctrine now includes a secret protocol on tectonic weapons.

"Western experts are said to be astonished that such a weapons program was ever attempted. Many believe the notion of triggering and controlling earthquakes is pure science fiction."

Much of this fits data the Coastal Post has already presented. However, evidence points to the closing of the nuclear sites as well as to strikes by mine workers and demonstrations across the Soviet Union as to being an economical necessity.

That same evidence shows Soviet, and very possibly French and American, testing with an eye on related quakes was conducted for a much longer time. At least, since President Reagan reintroduced testing in the mid-'80s.

For example, two weeks before the deadly December 7, 1988, Armenian earthquake, which killed up to 50,000 people, Soviet scientists predicted a large quake would shortly hit the region. On December 4, the Soviets detonated a test at their nuclear Novaya Zemyla site in the Arctic.

We could go through testing dates and once again show the close relationship between earthquakes and nuclear testing. However, as the information is statistical and dry, we recommend that those interested readers not familiar with our series check back issues of the Post or send a SASE to me at POB 864, Fairfax 94978 for a list of corresponding dates and quakes.

The mainstream U.S. media refuses to publish anything on the subject, even though scientific evidence is strong and plentiful. Don't think Dr. Whiteford and I haven't tried. However, the English, Canadian and Australian media, among others, are on top of it.

Even the U.S. Geological Survey, while skeptical, is more open. You'll notice the reference in the Canadian piece that "many [Western experts]...believe the notion...is pure science fiction." Doesn't that infer many other scientists are open to the possibility?

However, one bright point: The French are in the process of dismantling the Mururoa Atoll nuclear test site in the South Pacific. It's supposed to once again be clean and healthy-in 10,000 years. That is, except for that persistent hundreds of yards in diameter bubble of melted radioactive material lodged in the core of the volcano which forms the crumbling atoll.

Scalar Electromagnetics and Weather Control

The following is one example of correspondence between Tom Bearden and persons interested in some of the applications of his Scalar Electromagnetics theories [note that Bearden is now calling his system Energetics and refers to it as a subset of Superpotential Theory, if I understand him right.]. Bearden sent me several such correspondences as a general "update" on where he's at nowadays (Spring/Summer 1998). As usual, he cannot discuss exact methods or circuitry for devices to accomplish these feats of magic-- only the general principles. Can we glean enough from his writings to perhaps reach a "critical mass" enabling us to perform a leap of logic or two, and figure out how to build some of these devices?

The anomalous weather worldwide is not accidental. In superpotential theory, which was initiated by a paper by E.T. Whittaker in 1904, it is possible to produce EM force fields and force field energy at a distance. Whittaker 1904 showed that all EM fields and waves can be decomposed into two scalar potential functions. It follows that, by assembling two such scalar potential functions in beams, one can produce a "scalar potential interferometer" where the potential beams intersect at a distance. In that interference zone, ordinary transverse EM fields and energy appear.

A scalar potential is also just a harmonic assembly of bi-directional longitudinal EM wavepairs, as shown in a paper by E.T. Whittaker the year before, 1903. So one can produce the necessary longitudinal waves, in arrays, to "assemble" a scalar potential with any desired interior LW composition.

Thus by using longitudinal EM waves (LWs), one can produce potentials, fields, and waves to order.

It turns out that a longitudinal EM wave, since it cannot vary transversely a priori, cannot vary its 3-spatial energy density. Instead, it must vary in the time domain. What results is that one has created an oscillation of the curvature of spacetime, when one makes a longitutinal EM wave.

Now one can engineer clusters of ST curvatures, by proper assembly of LWs. This is a very powerful general relativity, because the strong EM force is being used as the agent of ST curvature. This particular EM GR does not appear in the textbooks, but has been utilized by the Russian KGB in clandestine weapon development since the 1950s.

Here's how the weather engineering is usually accomplished:

First, take two scalar potential beam transmitters, separated on the necessary baseline to form a beam interferometer. Let them interfere at a distance. Now in that distant interference zone (IZ), there is an ambient vacuum potential (spacetime potential, or spacetime stress). If the electrical circuit grounds of the interferometer transmitters are biased

ABOVE the ambient potential in the IZ, then scattering EM energy (heating) emerges in the IZ. This is the exothermic mode of operation. If the electrical circuit grounds of the interferometer are biased negatively below the ambient potential in the IZ, then convergent EM energy (cooling) emerges in the IZ. This is the endothermic mode of operation.

So by merely biasing the electrical grounds of a scalar potential interferometer, one can produce heating or cooling in the distant IZ. If one just "radiates," one produces distant steady heating or steady cooling. If one sharply pulses the interferometer, one produces a distant hot explosion or a distant cold explosion.

One can also, of course, form various forms of energy at a distance, including particularly hemispheric shells of energy and spherical shells of energy. Hundreds of these have been observed worldwide, from testing by the KGB weapons in Russia.

There is one other characteristic that one needs to be aware of. Pure longitudinal EM waves have infinite speed and infinite velocity (see the summary papers by Rodrigues et al. on the Los Alamos National Laboratory website). In practice one makes a pseudo-longitudinal wave, so its energy is finite and its speed is finite, but it may have a velocity v>>c.

A "scalar" potential is not a scalar entity at all. Instead, it's a bundle of bidirectional longitudinal waves, as shown by Whittaker 1903.

Mass is composed mostly of empty space filled with potentials and fields, with a particle here and there, widely separated. On its own scale, a "mass" looks more like a giant solar system or the external universe. Mostly space, with fields and potentials.

Well, since fields and potentials are nothing but just LWs anyway (W-1903 and 1904), then the stress potential of space is a superhighway for LWs. What this means is that "pretty good" LWs (i.e., sufficiently clean pseudo longitudinal waves) will pass right through the earth and ocean, with little attenuation and little interaction.

Now we are ready to see into weather engineering.

Focus the interference zone (IZ) on the other side of the earth (beam right through the earth and ocean) to a given desired area in the atmosphere. Bias your transmitters positively. You produce atmospheric heating in the air in the IZ, so that the air expands and you have produced a "low" pressure zone. Now use a second interferometer biased negatively, and place it at a distant IZ desired. In that IZ, you cool the air so that it shrinks and becomes denser, and you have created a "high" pressure area. Now place several such IZs, with the desired highs and lows, near a jet stream. The jet stream will be deviated toward a low and away from a high.

By varying the transmitted energy and the iz location (just move it gradually along), you can entrain and steer the jet streams, and therefore effectively "steer" the resulting weather.

Want to spawn tornadoes? Just make several sharp bends in the jet streams, and also speed them up a bit. The additional angular momentum imparted to the air masses will spawn off littler rotations (tornadoes).

By focusing the IZ underneath the ocean, one can heat or cool the water in a selected area, over a period of time. So you can aggravate or ease El Nino, e.g.

By proper steering and coordination around the earth, the KGB is able to create a great deal of rain in an area, a drought in an area, storms and tornadoes, a powerful El Nino, etc.

Want to really mess with the troops? Just focus the IZ in a large fault zone -- say such as the San Andreas fault in California. Use the exothermic interferometry mode. You deposit energy slowly in that fault zone. The stress increases. Eventually the plate edges shift, and you have an earthquake. If you want a very powerful quake, put the energy in gradually, so that a sort of "overpotential" or "overpressure" builds up, past where the rocks would normally slip. Then when they let go, you've got a real nice big one.

You can see what might happen if one also toys around with a sleeping volcano.

On July 4, 1976 the KGB began its massive and continuing weather engineering over North America. It continues to this day.

As an example, on Nov. 19, 1997 I drove from Huntsville, Alabama to Louisville, Kentucky to give a graduate seminar on Nov. 20. As I left Nashville on the interstate, I spotted a "giant radial cloud" in the sky, to my left. A giant radial is a cloud with long radial fingers (spokes) radiating out from it, perhaps several miles in length. These are signatures of artificial weather engineering. On Interstate 65, I was averaging about 65 mph. So was the giant radial, and it was traveling along off to the left of I-65. In other words, the distant operators were just using a map with I-65 as a trace guide line, for moving an interferometer array's IZ. That cloud moved right along with me, at 65 mph, for 111 miles by my odometer. Then it started to fade as the distant operator cut power. At that time, I could see its "twin" off to the right, which had been cut power a little before. This was therefore one of the infamous "twin giant radials" that I photographed so much back in the early 80s.

I challenge any scientist to show me a NATURALLY occurring twin giant radial, that motors along astride Interstate 65, at 65 miles per hour, for almost two hours! That's pushing statistical chance to the point of absurdity. Also, of course, this sort of thing has happened dozens and dozens of times around the country.

So the anomalous weather everyone is worrying about, is going to STAY anomalous. In fact, it's going to get a bit worse. There's a whole war going on out there.

It might surprise you, e.g., that electrodynamics actually has nothing at all to say about the form of its EM entities in space, where there is no mass. Maxwell assumed a material ether, and all his EM entities are mass-containing. The force fields are rigorously defined only in the presence of mass, and only as the INTERACTION of the spacetime disturbance with an intercepting charged mass. So Maxwell's EM still contains a material ether, even though the Michelson-Morley experiments destroyed a material space medium in the 1880s (after Maxwell was already dead). Not a single Maxwellian equation has been changed!

Rigorously, Maxwellian EM is a set of matter-to-matter transforms. Actually infolded inside its transforms are a missing two: (1) matter-to-spacetime transform, which is really what is invoked when one launches a "signal" from a transmitter; one launches a spacetime curvature oscillation, not a force field oscillation, because no force fields exist in space in the absence of mass (Feynman, Wheeler, Aharonov, Bohm, Lindsay, Margenau, etc.) Then the ST perturbation propagates through space to the waiting receiving antenna. There it interacts with the Drude electrons, producing the well-known transverse EM oscillations. Since the electrons are constrained longitudinally down the wire and are spinning, they act as gyros. So they precess laterally, which is actually what we measure with our instruments -- the gyroprecession of the charges.

So hidden inside the matter-to-matter EM they erroneously teach us, is an infolded general relativity (a matter -to- spacetime transform, followed by a spacetime-to- matter transform in serial order).

This is the "magical" unified field theory everyone has been seeking. The electrodynamics we teach is a piece of tripe, and the Russians just secretly corrected it back in the early 50s. And then they weaponized the daylights out of it.

Today at least three other nations besides the KGB rogue group in Russia have scalar potential interferometer weapons. The weather engineering is just one of the EARLY capabilities. The most powerful weapons on earth are not nuclear. They are quantum potential in nature, using a modified Whittaker EM to implement David Bohm's hidden variable theory of quantum mechanics.

Meanwhile, since our own electrical physicists have rather thoroughly failed us, and just keep teaching the horribly flawed old electrodynamics, we will continue to watch as the weather is hostilely engineered, as even earthquakes are engineered from time to time, and as another small nation which must remain unnamed, saves us and prevents our destruction.

Anyway, that's what is really happening to the weather. Understand, not every tornado is artificial! But a lot of them are spawned artificially. And the weather is being "steered," by steering the jetstreams.

Didn't know whether such things would even interest you, but thought I'd expose them anyway. Most scientists are very uncomfortable with even the notion that something substantial is wrong with our physics texts. But such is true. Until we do the necessary foundations overhaul, we will continue to teach and use a highly inferior science. And we will continue to see more and more anomalous weather.

Incidentally, the KGB weapon scientists call the infolded LWs (curvatures of ST) inside electrodyamics, the information content of the field. Our guys just think they are referring to spectral analysis. The Russians call the

That incident on April 9, 1984 off the coast of Japan and near the Kuriles, was a huge test of (1) a cold explosion just over the surface of the ocean, which suddenly shrank the air so that surrounding air rushed in, meeting and surging upwards into the sky, entraining lots of water as a mist and dense cloud with it. Then a second test was conducted: a glowing sphere of light appeared in the top of the large mushroom cloud from the cold explosion.

Then that spherical globe expanded, until it reached some 380 miles in diameter. The center of the globe at that time was about 200 miles altitude. That is written up in two fine articles in the respected journal Science.

This is the scale the KGB has been operating on, with these interferometry weapons. There are hundreds more such incidents or similar.

On April 28, 1997 U.S. Defense Secretary William Cohen made the following statement:

"Others [terrorists] are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby

Note that the Secretary did not speak the words in square blocks; these were added by the writers later, probably to "soften the tone" of the Secretary's information release. So the Secretary confirmed that some nations of the world -- not just some ragged terrorists, as the writers tried to imply for spin control -- do possess novel electromagnetic weapons and are using them to induce earthquakes, engineer the weather and climate, and trigger volcanic eruptions.

In the case of Turkey, the quake might have been just another target practice shot by the KGB/Russians. In Russia, these weapons are totally under the control of the KGB, including research, development, manufacturing, deployment, and manning and firing the weapons. The weapons are not in the conventional Russian armed forces at all.

The weapons referred to by Secretary Cohen are longitudinal EM wave interferometers (LWIs). Longitudinal EM waves easily travel through the ocean and earth with very little loss. In a distant interference zone, there appears real EM energy again, of the kind we have in our textbooks. However, the energy arises from spacetime itself in the interference zone, as proven by M.W. Evans, P.K. Anastasovski, T.E. Bearden et al., "On Whittaker's Representation of the Electromagnetic Entity in Vacuo: The Production of Transverse Fields and Energy by Scalar Interferometry," Journal of New Energy, 4(3), Winter 1999, p. 76-78. (That entire issue of JNE contains some 60 papers by the Alpha Foundation's Institute for Advanced Study (AIAS), dealing with the kind of higher symmetry electrodynamics needed to understand such weapons).

Though tested in prototype in the 1950s, the first strategic LWIs were deployed in Russia in April 1963, and were used to kill the U.S.S. Thresher nuclear attack submarine, underwater off the East coast of the United States, in April 1963. The signatures of the kill are 100% decisive. One day later, the same weapon placed an enormous electromagnetic burst (explosion) deep underwater, 100 miles north of Puerto Rico. From the surface of the ocean there arose a giant cone of water, rising a half mile into the air, turning into a mushroom, and falling back into the sea. This was the second test of the new Russian strategic LWIs, under KGB control. By this test and the fact that the West did not even recognize what killed the Thresher, Khrushchev managed to stay in power another two years or so, after his Cuban Crisis fiasco where he lost face in front of the entire world.

World-wide weather engineering started in earnest by the Russians on July 4, 1976 -- as a quirky sense of humor and "bicentennial gift" to the United States.

The weapons have been used to shoot down aircraft, etc. worldwide also, mostly as tests, and have also destroyed ICBMs shortly after launch.

So while I cannot say for sure what generated the quake you spoke of, it easily could have been done by the KGB or by their protégées (a powerful and very wealthy rogue Japanese group, consisting of the Yakuza and the Aum Shinrikyo). At the end of 1989, the KGB/Russians -- who had developed even more powerful weapons -- leased many of their on-site earlier LWIs to a rogue Japanese group comprised of Yakuza and Aum Shinrikyo. Since then, weather control and engineering, and shoot-down of missiles and aircraft, have largely been done by this rogue group, under the close control of the KGB. Aircraft shot down included the TWA-800, e.g. and others.

The world is actually a secretly armed camp, armed to the teeth with unpublicized highly secret weapons, waiting to explode like a powderkeg at the touch of a match. These developments have eluded most of the scientific communities of the Earth (who are still mostly using a decrepit, hoary old U(1) electromagnetics theory put together in 1864, which is totally a material fluid flow theory and riddled with known errors, omissions, and curtailments). The developments over several decades also completely eluded the news media of the world, who are more concerned these days with yellow journalism than probing and investigating news. As an example, not a single news agency even reacted to the astounding revelation of Secretary Cohen, which merely shows how well the news media have brainwashed themselves with their own "formula news" and propaganda.

Presently, the world energy crisis -- and particularly the "cheap oil" part of it -- is being deliberately engineered from behind the scenes to escalate and place ever-increasing financial burdens on nations of the world. The plan is that the world economy is to be strained to the breaking point, so that it will begin seriously collapsing about 2008. A year or so before that (and perhaps even sooner), the despairing nations with their economies crumbling will be in increasingly great conflicts. This is rather like many independent and clashing servomechanisms, with the gain on their amplifiers being ever increased. Simple servo analysis shows such a system self-destructs because its conflict rises asymptotically to quick destruction.

In short, the nations of the world will unleash all the weapons of mass destruction in their arsenals; the only "defense" a nation has in the era of such mass weapons is to strike fast and with all its might, to destroy its perceived enemies before they destroy it. Years ago, all our strategic studies -- back when we did them honestly and not for political correctness -- clearly showed this "spasm response" by nations in total desperation; there was no other way out for any nation, once the WMD weapon arsenals start being used seriously. There is an immediate explosion that destroys civilization and contaminates much of the biosphere. The "High Cabal" (Winston's Churchill's name for that secretive group of financiers and loose cartels behind the several hundred interlocking corporations, etc. worldwide) wishes to remove about three-quarters of the population of the earth, as the "solution" to the "overpopulation" problem. They plan to escalate the energy crisis until it initiates the desired Armageddon for them. This plan has not changed since Bertrand Russell, one of their darlings because of his "logical positivism" (materialism by another name), made this astounding statement"

"At present the population of the world is increasing at about 58,000 per diem. War, so far, has had no very great effect on this increase, which continued throughout each of the world wars... War has hitherto been disappointing in this respect... but perhaps bacteriological war may prove effective. If a Black Death could spread through the world once in every generation, survivors could procreate freely without making the world too full. The state of affairs might be unpleasant, but what of it?" [Bertrand Russell, philosophical spokesman for a group of Westerners, in his Impact of Science on Society.]

If you will refer to Laurie Garrett's "The Nightmare of Bioterrorism," Foreign Affairs, 80(1), Jan./Feb. 2001, on p. xx you will find the following quotation:

"Were a terrorist to disperse the smallpox virus, for example, populations that were once universally vaccinated would now be horribly vulnerable. Today the U.S. government stows only about 15.4 million doses of the smallpox vaccine-enough for less than seven percent of the American population. The World Health Organization (WHO) keeps another 500,000 doses in the Netherlands, and other national stockpiles total about 60 million more doses of varying quality and potency. If the smallpox virus were released today, the majority of the world's population would be defenseless, and given the virus' 30 percent kill rate, nearly two billion people would die."

The Russians/KGB also are using other weapons to "thin" the immune systems of the population of targeted areas, so that the 30% kill rate rises to 50% or more. And Russian secret BW labs also perfected additional strains of smallpox -- which were clandestinely sold to some nations not very nice at all, for terrorists' use. These strains are invulnerable to all present smallpox vaccines.

What is being prepared worldwide is a "mix" of all sorts of weapons and attacks -- everything from terrorists armed with incredibly developed pathogens and already inserted in various nations, etc. -- worldwide. Every major nation is also already "seeded" with clandestine nuclear weapons placed in its large cities, ready to annihilate them. E.g., the highest ranking GRU defector to the U.S. is Lunev. In his book (passed by the CIA), Lunev even tells some of the ways that the Russians secretly brought such nuclear weapons into the United States, easily. Quoting Stanislov Lunev and Ira Winkler, Through the Eyes of the Enemy: Russia's Highest Ranking Military Defector Reveals Why Russia Is More Dangerous Than Ever, Regnery, Washington, D.C., 1998, p. 22:

"Though most Americans don't realize it, America is already penetrated by Russian military intelligence to the extent that arms caches lie in wait for use by Russian special forces - or Spetznatz." Quoting p. 26:

Quoting p. 26:

"It is surprisingly easy to smuggle nuclear weapons into the United States. A commonly used method is for a Russian airplane to fly across the ocean on a typical reconnaissance flight. The planes will be tracked by U.S. radar, but that's not a problem. When there are no other aircraft in visual range, the Russian airplane will launch a small, high-tech, stealth transport missile that can slip undetected into remote areas of the country. The missiles are retrieved by GRU operatives. Another way to get a weapon into the country is to have an 'oceanographic research' submarine deliver the device-accompanied by GRU specialists-to a remote section of coastline. Nuclear devices can also be slipped across the Mexican or Canadian borders. It is easy to get a bomb to Cuba and from there transport it to Mexico. Usually the devices are carried by a Russian intelligence officer or a trusted agent."

Quoting p. 30:

"Other instruments of destruction the Russians have had success with are seismic weapons. Spitac and other small towns in the Transcaucasus Mountains were almost destroyed during a seismic weapons test that set off an earthquake. This would have obvious applications on America's west coast and other areas of the world prone to earthquakes."

As you can see from the latter quotation, Lunev was actually referring to the LWIs and their use to initiate earthquakes, precisely what Secretary Cohen confirmed in 1997. Again, the news media are completely asleep.

Those planning the self-destruction of civilization about 2007, also appear to have lots of help from the quarreling nations themselves. The nations of the earth are so beset by petty quarrels (Arab against Jew, Jew against Arab, Saddam Hussein thirsting to disrupt and control the MidEast and much of the oil supply, one group against another) and so blinded by these "local" bloodthirsty concerns and so intent on killing one another that they become willing pawns and tools for manipulation upon the grand chessboard, not even realizing they are serving the ends of hidden game-players manipulating them as silly pawns.

At any rate, as a single citizen without great resources, all I can do is point these things out, and also work intensively on trying to solve or partially solve the energy crisis. On this latter we have made excellent progress in the last 30 years. Our technical understanding now is such that well-funded research can quickly break out into production of self-powering electrical power systems, easily manufactured, to replace the present incredibly wasteful power systems which in effect have us all by the throat (as California has just shown). Make no mistake, the rising energy needs and oil needs in Asia alone will reach the level of the energy needs of today's United States, about 7-10 years from now. The day of "cheap oil" is ended, and the world will never be the same again. The

economic collapse is coming this decade, unless this energy crisis is quickly and permanently solved.

The same hidden folks engineering the destruction of civilization have also engineered its plundering during the interim period while Armageddon is being prepared by the nations themselves. The globulists successfully passed great treaties (such as NAFTA, GATT, etc.) which meant that the manufacturing jobs are now being exported to those "emerging"

nations (read: cheap slave labor nations) where workers have no rights, there are no pollution laws, politicians are bought for a song, etc. It is almost a return to a special kind of feudalism. So some two trillion dollars per year are to be extracted off the backs of those poor nations (slave laborers), and from the oil, etc. At Kyoto, they successfully fooled the environmentalists (who are extraordinarily naive about science) and got exemption for 160 nations -- the very nations being used to play a major role in extracting the two trillion dollars per year from the economy of the world.

But we have the answer to the energy crisis, and it can be solved forever, once any nation commits sufficient scientific resources to do the rest of the research and development. We are placing information on the solution on our website, www.cheniere.org, as fast as we can. We are also trying to obtain substantial financing to go into intensive research and development on our own inventions in this field. There are other inventions by other inventors and scientists that can also take and use energy from the vacuum, and we strongly hope that every legitimate researcher succeeds in getting units onto the world market and helping to solve the energy crisis in time.

The energy crisis part of it can be solved completely in two years, if we can get the conventional scientific community uprooted from its terrible fascination with a horrible old electrodynamics riddled with errors, that absolutely excludes and does not even model the active vacuum interaction with every system. Generators and batteries in fact do not power their attached circuits anyway, but just make dipoles. The dipole -- as is very well-known in particle physics -- extracts energy from the vacuum, transforms it into usable, real EM energy, and pours out that energy in all directions, freely and indefinitely so long as the dipole exists. So the real problem is in the terrible "mindset" of the energy

scientists and engineers. But real production electrical power systems have to be rolling off the assembly lines en masse no later than first quarter 2004, in spite of that mindset, or it is all over for civilization anyway.

We will continue to do everything we can to assist in meeting that "point of no return" in first quarter 2004. If that deadline is missed, humanity goes right down the tube to its destruction. The MidEast, e.g., is on the very brink of war right now, and if it explodes, it will also involve all the developed nations, with WMD strikes occurring right in their large population centers. In the U.S., e.g., we could wake up one morning and have 20 million Americans dying of anthrax, smallpox, etc. right in the streets.

Meanwhile, some nations such as the KGB/Russia along with their Yakuza/Aum Shinrikyo protégés are maneuvering in the shadows, continually attempting to arrange a great strategic strike that will devastate the entire West and its allies. That continues; we have narrowly avoided such strikes several times since January 1997.

Only time will tell how it all comes out. Just now the good guys are not doing very well, content in a complacent electrodynamics science obsolete after 136 years, and the bad guys are very far ahead. We hope to see that change very rapidly.
